The kids had a very special Halloween. We were very lucky to have Pete, Farrah, and Areila visiting us these past 2 weeks. Today the kids went to Artic Oasis our community center on base where they went indoor trick or treating, played some halloween games, and did a few crafts. They also had a costume contest and Hailey and Areila entered the zero-5 age group and Daniel was in the 6-10 age group. Hailey was 1 out of 6 children picked by the judges in her age catagory to win. She won a gift card to Red Robin. Hailey was dressed as Hannah Montana. Daniel was dressed as Wolverine and Areila was dressed as Minnie Mouse. Let's not forget our adorable animals. ZAck was dressed like a skunk, Storm was dressed like a lobster, and Mr Beans was dressed like a sailor dog and even went around the neighborhood trick or treating with us. It was 19 degrees outside so we only went trick or treating on two blocks in the neighborhood. Areila changed her costume for the evening and was a bumblebee since it was a little warmer. Daniel was still wolverine and Hailey started out as hannah Montana and by the end of the night her wig kept falling off so she became Miley Cyrus. We hope everyone had a Happy Halloween I know our children our quite satisfied with their two huge bags of candy.

The other night we carved our pumpkins. Justin helped Daniel and Hailey's with theirs and Pete carved Areila's. We are so happy to have Pete, Farrah, and Areila visiting us the last few weeks. The kids are all looking forward to going out trick or treating on Saturday and to a halloween carnival and haunted house tomorrow night. Im sure Hailey wont even enter the haunted house but Daniel is excited to go. Hailey is going to be Hannah Montana, Daniel is going to be Wolverine, and Areila is going to be Minnie Mouse at the carnival which is indoors and a bumble bee for when we go outside trick or treating as it is a much warmer costume.

HUMPTY DUMPTY

Daniel had his first quarter Parent Teacher conference today. His teacher said He is doing fantastic. He got his first ever report card and had all s and p's which mean satisfactory and making progress. He didn't get any t's which mean needs improvement. He also had perfect attendance for his first grading period and got a card for a free kids meal at Applebee's Restaurant. The best part of the conference was when his teacher presented me with the book He had made this last month at school. Daniel made a nursury rhyme book created all by him. It is definitly something we will have to hold on to for memories from Kindergarden. We are so proud of him at how well he is doing this school year. Here are some picures of his book.
