Me and a few other friends here in Alaska planned a surprise baby shower via the web cam for Amanda. She is due in less then 5 weeks and we can't wait to see pictures of Baby Tyler Lee. She is already in Japan and we pulled off a huge surprise shower where we got everyone together in Alaska and then Amanda joined us via the web cam. Hailey wore an extra special dress for her Auntie Amanda and Daniel was there he is on the video but I got no pictures of him he was too busy playing with Jaden and Nicky and there was an older boy there who had a video game system and Daniel would not leave his side. It turned out really reat and everyone got a chance to go up to the camera and show Amanda her gifts and see Amanda on cam and then we are all shipping her stuff to her this week so everything should get to Japan in time for the arrival of Tyler Lee. Unfortunatley Andy is on Tdy and doesnt get back to April 10th but I video taped the whole baby shower and they will have a DVD really soon. Congradulations Andy and Amanda and we can't wait to see pictures.

ASH ON DANIEL'S JEEP THAT WAS PARKED OUT FRONT

Well Mount Redoubt has now errupted about 14 times in the last week. Yesterday afternoon was the biggest erruption yet. We live 100 miles from the Volcano and the ash actually reached us in Anchorage for the first time yesterday evening. We had ash falling right outside our house for about 4 hours. We were in an advisory until 1am this morning but we are not in the ash advisory anymore now. I stepped outside this morning and got a few pictures from our ash fall last night. We had ash on our trampoline out back and the kids slide and swingset and we even had some ash fall on our car yesterday. Daniel said it looked like charcoal was all over his slide. We will probably never see the affects of another volcano errupting in our lifetime. It will definitly be a story for our kids to tell their children one day and of course I have plenty of pictures from it. Here are a few from the front of our house and our backyard and one of the erruptions that happened a few nights ago during a storm.

ZACK WAS GETTING ALL THE ATTENTION AND LOVING EVERY MINUTE OF IT

Daniel's pre-school is learning about animals and pet appriciation for the month of March. They even have a pretend pet vet set up in their classroom where they take care of pretend animals and can be a vet and nurse. Yesterday for their cooking project they made homemade dog biscuits and each of the kids got to bring a few home for their pets or friends pets if they didint have any. Mr Beans got to eat the ones Daniel broght home as Zack got fed quite a bit at the school by all the kids. The kids in Daniel's class loved Zack and they werent supposed to be able to pet the dogs but the teacher couldnt resisit letting them with how cute and fluffy Zack is. DAniel was very excited to be able to bring his dog to school and had been looking forward to it for a few weeks as we signed up toward the end of the month to make sure we could bring him a day Daddy was off from work. Maybe next year when Hailey is in the strong beginnings class Mr Beans will be better potty trained and he will get a chance to go to pre-school.

MT REDOUBT ERRUPTS

Well the Volcano Mt Redoubt in Alaska that we have been preparing for to errupt for the last 2 months has finally blew. It errupted last night and had 5 erruptions between 1130pm last night and 430am this morning. We are pretty lucky here in Anchorage as we have dodged the ashfall. It seems the brunt of the ash went to the towns about an hour and a half from us. This evening at 740pm a sixth erruption happened and we are in ashfall warning until 5am tomorrow but noone thinks we will still get the ashfall here where we are. The kids and I spent the day inside today until all the hype and excitement blow over. What a way to begin a spring.

Yesterday the kids were all dressed up for pre-school for St Paddy's Day since they did not have school today. They had green jello for a snack at school and made 4-leaf clovers as an art project. Hailey got lots of compliments on her pretty dress. No Mommy is not crafty I did not make it. I actually won it for seven dollars on Ebay. Someone else really crafty made the dress. It is called a pillowcase dress and handmade out of a pillowcase. I also had a Hannah Montana one done for her which she will be wearing this summer as its a cute summer dress. Today I am attempting to make corned beef and cabbage as it is cooking right now in the crock pot. We hope everyone has a very Happy St Paddy's day.
