HAILEY WAS SO TIRED SHE FELL ASLEEP WHILE PLAYING HER LEAPSTER

Today was a beautiful day. It was in the 60's and that is really warm weather for Alaska. The kids went to 2 different parks today. This morning we took the dogs and Daddy came along too before he had to head to work and we went to the park by the house. Then we had a playdate later in the afternoon at another park with the kids friends Alex, Bella, and Nicky. The girls were playing in the dirt planting flowers (well actually weeds) and the boys were taking turns going down the slide. I finally found the kids rainboots. Most of the stores had been sold out since it has been so nice out lately and rainboots are very popular to wear in Alaska with all the rainy days we get and the puddles during break up. I actually found them at payless and they were having BOGO days so I got both pairs for 13.00 I was very happy with that. Hailey got Hannah Montana and Daniel got Cars. We also broke out the sidewalk chalk today and the kids were having fun trying to write their name and decorate our sidewalks. The kids have been so happy these last few days playing outside and I've been happy as well seeing my kids able to be kids and play outside. They have not been watching as much Tv lately and they don't even miss it.

DADDY PUTTING THE BANANA'S IN

The kids were helping Daddy make banana bread. Daniel has been taking alot of interest lately in wanting to watch us whenever we are cooking. We even got him the Wii game Cooking Mama and he plays it and tries to cook different things. He was in the kitchen right by Daddy's side helping him put the ingredients in and doing the mixing. Hailey just stood their and watched. Afterwards the kids enjoyed eating the banana bread once it was cooked and said "It's fun cooking but even better to eat it afterwards". Daddy is going to be making Hailey's Hannah Montana birthday cake and Daniel wants to help as well.

SPIKE THE DINOSAUR GOES TO PRE-SCHOOL FOR SHOW AND TELL

DANIEL AND SPIKE AT SHOW AND SHARE

DANIEL SHOWING HIS DINOSAUR TO THE CLASS

DANIEL'S FRIENDS ALL CHECKING SPIKE OUT

SPIKE COMING TO MEET DANIEL'S CLASS

Today was Daniel's last show and tell for the year. His pre-school class only has show and share the last Friday of every month whereas Hailey's class has show and share and every Friday. Daniel starts Kindergarden in the Fall therefore may not have any more show and tells. Hailey still has next year of pre-school where she will have it the last Friday of each month as she will have Daniel's teachers and be in the strong beginnings class. Daniel's class is learning about Dinosaurs this month and he really wanted to bring to school his new dinosaur Spike for show and share. Usually the kids are told to bring something small enough so it will fit in their lockers until the end of the day when its time to show their items. Well we got special permission from Daniels's teacher to come a few minutes early and bring Daniel's show and share and he can do a presentation and show his class everything that Spike does. He had been excited all week asking if it was show and share day yet every day he had gone to school this week. The kids were in awe at what Spike was capable of doing. Some of the kids in his class said they had seen it in the stores and on Tv but none of the kids actualy had one and were all excited to see Daniel's. He was very happy cause all the attention was on him which I think he enjoyed alot. I just hope when it's Hailey's last show and share this time next year she doesnt ask to bring Butterscotch Pony cause I don't think he will even fit in our car. The kids are getting really excited for it to be summer it feels like the school year just begun last September and they only have 3 more weeks left until they are on summer vacation. Time is just going by so fast.

The kids are really having fun being able to play outside. The weather has been really nice. It has been in the 50's this last week. We are very proud of Daniel. We moved his basketball hoop out front and he has actually been able to try to play. Today for the first time Daniel made a basket on his own. He was so happy and so proud of himself. We were very proud as well. He had played on the team for 3 months and had a hard time reaching the hoop and couldnt really practice during the winter. Now that he can play outside he has become very determined and it paid off for him today. As soon as he made his first basket we called Daddy right away at work to tell him Daniel's achievement and he called Grandpa as well. Everyone is so proud of Daniel and he has been talking about wanting to play basketball again this September. Hailey loves being on the swings and jumping on the trampoline with her brother, and Mr Beans and Zack have also enjoyed being able to play outside. Mr Beans has to be on a tie out though as he has escaped our yard and was found in the neighbors about 4 times now so he is now on a chain so he can't escape.

HAILEY ON THE TRAMPOLINE

Well it's officially the start of our summer season. The snow is finally all melting away. I spent 3 hours a couple days ago trying to clean up most of our backyard. Now with 2 dogs in the Family we have twice the poop to scoop away and its always really bad at the start of winter break-up. Justin will be taking our snow tires off and putting on summer tires back on and we can put our sun roof down and start cruisin again. Last night we had our first official BBQ for the season and the kids were happy to have all their friends come over to play with them. They were so happy to be able to go on the trampoline and on their slides and swings after almost 7 months of not being able to play out back. We set up Daniel's basketball hoop at front and he can start playing outside with his friends and the kids are anxious to get outside and start riding their bikes. Justin is on the first official Denali Offroad Trail Run of the summer today and we are going to meet him after the run at a BBQ in Wailla. IT is so nice to be able to start being outside and not cooped up in the house anymore. The hardest part of living in Alaska is the 7 months of cold temperatures and being stuck indoors all the time and the next 5 months are actually the best time to live here where we can actually enjoy living in Alaska.

DANIEL IN HIS GREEN

The kids had a Spring Fling party at Pre-school yesterday afternoon. THe two classes The Bears and The Whales joined together for the day. They watched the movie Horton Hears A Who and then all the parents came the last 30 minutes of the day and there were lots of food and desserts and the kids all had a great time. The teachers decided since the classes didint do any kind of party in awhile and our weather was getting nicer it was time for a class party. Hailey and Daniel were really enjoying the fresh watermelon and Hailey had fun with a chocolate cupcake as you can see from the pictures. The kids were all asked to wear yellow and green for the day for their party. I had gone to Target a few days before and found Hailey this adorable outfit. Its the first time Ive seen Keroppi clothes anywhere (Keroppi is the frog from Hello Kitty) If they had one in my size I would have gotten a matching shirt and then I found Daniel the hulk shirt he is wearing and the shirt talks so he loved it. I cannot believe it but there is only 1 more month of school left and then the kids are on summer vacation and I will have a Pre-School Grad. We go next month to Kindergarden Orientation already and we are a few days less then 2 months from going on our summer vacation. We can't wait to get out of Anchorage for 10 days. It will be nice and relaxing to get away for a bit.

WELCOME TO OUR FAMILY WEBPAGE

This is a great way to keep in touch with what's going on in the lives of the Williams' Family. With us being so far away it's great to be able to write and post recent pictures of what's going on in our lives. I am blessed to have such a wonderful family. Justin and I have been married for 9 years. Daniel is now 5 years old and Hailey is 3 years. We have Zack the Dog, Storm the Cat, Oscar the Fish, and out latest addition to the family Mr. Beans the dog. Justin is keeping busy working 12 hour shifts at the passenger terminal on base and going to school to complete his small business certificate program. I am currently a stay at home mom taking care of the kids which is definitly a full time job in itself and I spend a great deal of time volunteering at the Airman's Attic on base. Daniel and Hailey both go to pre-school 3 days a week. Hailey is currently in her 3rd year of gymnastics. She was been taking gymnastics since she was 18 months old and Daniel just finished playing basketball on the Lions pee wee league last month. We currently have 17 months left in Alaska and then we dont know where we are going to be moving after that. Justin spends his free time working on his Landcruiser and offroading. I spend my free time scrapbooking and keeping up with our blog, watching movies, and keeping up with the kids and all their activites. Daniel loves dinosaurs, superheros (batman, the hulk, superman, and spiderman his favorites, and doing arts and crafts. Hailey loves horses and ponies, barbies, princesses, playing dress up, and recently Hannah Montana. Keep checking back to our page for the newest happenings going on in out lives.
