Daniel's pre-school class made a volcano out of play-doh on Friday at school and they let the play-doh harden over the weekend and then today they made the volcano errupt. With all the happenings going on with Mt Redoubt their teachers have been discussing about volcanos with the classes. Haileys class came over to join Daniel's class and the parents were invited to attend for the last 20 minutes of class today and watch the class volcano errupt. They used red food coloring, vinegar, and baking soda and it made it look like the volcano was errupting and lava was coming out. The kids were all in amazement and wanted it to keep going. One little girl in Daniel's class asked if they needed to get their masks not realizing it wasnt the real volcano. Kids are so cute. Hailey kept telling her friend Bella "Don't touch the hot lava" she didint realize it wasnt hot at all. It was really neat and I think ill have to keep this in mind if I need an easy science fair project once Daniel starts elementary school. Speaking of which we just found out yesterday we have kindergarden orientation for Daniel on May 7th next month. I can't believe he is going to be in kindergarden already.
