HANUKKAH AND CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS UP
We had a very good Thanksgiving. We started the holiday last night by putting the tree up and all the Hanukkah and Christmas decorations. Its a little harder this year getting in the holiday spirit with Justin having to deploy in 3 weeks. We are very thankful that He was able to spend Thanksgiving with us. I have a couple of Friends that arent as lucky and their Husbands are not home. We are just doing our Holidays this year a little early so Justin can celebrate with us. We started off the morning by watching the Thanksgiving Day Parade which we do every year and then after the parade of course football got put on. I spent the morning studying the newspaper seeing which stores have the best deals and what I need to price match when I go shopping tomorrow morning at 2am. Yes Black Friday is my favorite shopping day of the year. In the afternoon we headed over to our friend's Nathaen and Jamie's house for a very yummy Thanksgiving dinner and played some Disney Pictionary, and the kids did a turkey balloon craft. The kids had a blast playing with their friends Alex and Andrew. Jamie made chocolate turkey cupcakes with candy korns which the kids loved. They ate their whole dinner just so they could have one. Unfortunatley Justin had to go into work in the evening but we were very Thankful He was home all day and got be be with us for dinner. We hope everyone had a very Happy Thanksgiving.

Today I went to Hailey's pre-school to her Thanksgiving lunch and skit her class did. Everyone in the class was asked to bring in an ingrident in the morning and the whole class helped make a stone soup. Hailey brought in an onion and was very excited cause her and 1 of the other boys Andrew got to wear special goggles and cut their onions. Daniel was in school and Justin had to be at work but I was able to be there to join Hailey and her class and have a bowl of their delicious stone soup. After we ate the class sang a song and did a presentation for us. It was very cute and if you have a facebook there is a short video clip from the song and dance on my profile page. I also videotaped it as well. The kids told their teacher Mrs. Carver what they were Thankful for and they each had a feather on a turkey. Hailey said she was Thankful for Her Dad, Mom, Brother, and two Dogs. I asked her what about storm, and she said Yes I am thankful for kitty cat too but I forgot to tell my teacher. It was really cute what some of the kids had to say. I enjoyed my lunch of stone soup today and spending the afternoon with Hailey and her friends. We want to wish everyone A very Happy Thanksgiving. Wish we were able to be up at Disney this week but hopefully we will be closer for the next trip.

R.I.P OSCAR THE FISH

Oscar came into our family a little over 2 years ago. He was given to Daniel by our really good friends Amanda and Andy as a reward for Daniel potty training and because they knew they would be moving within the year to Japan and couldn't take him with them. Daniel named the fish Oscar because he was an albino oscar fish and he named his two plako buddies Bert and Ernie. He had become a part of our Family. Unfortunatley this last month He has not been doing very well at all. We noticed a complete change in his eating and behavior. The kids understood that we were going to be moving next summer and we were going to have to find Oscar, Bert, and Ernie a new home. Unfortunatley Oscar did not make it to the summer. Last night He was looking really bad and I thought He had died but He was still hanging in their breathing a bit. I told the kids last night He may not be here when they woke up because I was afraid He wasnt going to make it through the night. He held on and the kids saw him this morning before they went to school but I came back from grocery shopping and He was ready for fishy heaven. We are going to take the kids to the pet store tomorrow and let them each pick out a fish for the tank and for the plakos to feed off of and they will be with us until we move next summer and then have to find them a new home. RIP Oscar The Fish.

DANIEL HAD TWO STARS WITH FAMILY NAMES
HONOR STARS DISPLAYED AT DANIEL'S ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

In honor of Veterans Day today at Daniel's school this evening they had a Veteran's Day Hero read in. They had several teachers and the principal Mr Webb read some of their favorite books to the students. They also had displayed around the school stars where each of the students wrote the names of family members in the past and present who have served our country in a time of War. Daniel filled up two stars with Family Members names in their honor. The special guest of the evening was a military police officier and his working police dog Benjo. Benjo is actually retireing tomorrow and going to a foster home in Anchorage. He is 8 years old and has been stationed on Elmendorf for the last 7 years. He has been on 3 tours in Iraq and saved many lives. He is a war hero police dog. The officier read the kids a book about dog heroes and they were all allowed to go up and meet and pet Benjo. Towards the end of the evening the kids were allowed to get a book from the library shelves for their Mom or Dad to read to them. Of course Daniel picked out a Berenstain Bears book for me to read to him and his Sister. We want to wish everyone a Happy Veterans Day and we are very proud and Love our Military Hero whom had to work tonight or would have been with us at the read in. Also We are having a very special guest on Elmendorf tomorrow. President Obama will be making his first trip as President to Alaska. He is going to be talking to Military and their families on base tomorrow afternoon. I am not going to where he is going to be because it will be way to crowded but I think its really neat that the President of the United States will be here on our base tomorrow.

Yesterday Hailey had Imagination Day at Pre-school. Their class was able to dress up in whatever they wanted to be for Imagination Day. Its the schools way of being able to do something for Haloween without celebrating Halloween cause your not allowed to celebrate Halloween in the schools. Of course Hailey wanted to be Hannah Montana. Her teachers were dressed as an Alaskan fisherman and a Alaska Aces Hockey player. The kids had a great day and alot of fun in their costumes at school yesterday.

WELCOME TO OUR FAMILY WEBPAGE

This is a great way to keep in touch with what's going on in the lives of the Williams' Family. With us being so far away it's great to be able to write and post recent pictures of what's going on in our lives. I am blessed to have such a wonderful family. Justin and I have been married for 9 years. Daniel is now 5 years old and Hailey is 3 years. We have Zack the Dog, Storm the Cat, Oscar the Fish, and out latest addition to the family Mr. Beans the dog. Justin is keeping busy working 12 hour shifts at the passenger terminal on base and going to school to complete his small business certificate program. I am currently a stay at home mom taking care of the kids which is definitly a full time job in itself and I spend a great deal of time volunteering at the Airman's Attic on base. Daniel and Hailey both go to pre-school 3 days a week. Hailey is currently in her 3rd year of gymnastics. She was been taking gymnastics since she was 18 months old and Daniel just finished playing basketball on the Lions pee wee league last month. We currently have 17 months left in Alaska and then we dont know where we are going to be moving after that. Justin spends his free time working on his Landcruiser and offroading. I spend my free time scrapbooking and keeping up with our blog, watching movies, and keeping up with the kids and all their activites. Daniel loves dinosaurs, superheros (batman, the hulk, superman, and spiderman his favorites, and doing arts and crafts. Hailey loves horses and ponies, barbies, princesses, playing dress up, and recently Hannah Montana. Keep checking back to our page for the newest happenings going on in out lives.
