NIGHT TIME TRAIL RIDE

This past weekend we went on a camping trip. My Cousin Jordan is up visiting for the week and he was able to be there too. We had our camper in the driveway of the house for the last 3 weeks and the kids kept asking when we were going to go camping and this weekend when we actually went they were so excited. We went to the annual Meet n Greet in Palmer, Alaska which is a 4 wheeling event that takes place every summer. Usually we just go up for the Saturday which is family and kids day and then go home but we camped out and stayed overnight until Sunday this year. The kids participated in all the kids games. They had a huge bounce house with slide. they played tug of war, they had a hay scavenger hunt to look and find real quarters. There was 20 dollars in quarters thrown in the hay and Daniel ended up with 1.25 and Hailey ended up with 1.00. They also had a hot dog eating contest but the kids skipped out on that one. Daniel's major highlight of the trip was making camping popcorn and smores. He thought it was really neat watching the popocorn cook on the stove. Hailey enjoyed going down the big muddy hill with her cousin Jordan. They had a huge hotdog and hamburger and all the fixings lunch and an ittalian dinner with lasangna, garlic bread, salad, and corn on the cob amongst tons of desserts. Then there was a raffle which Daniel won a hot wheels car and was excited with his special car. The kids didint go to bed until about midnight when it finally started to get a little dark and then they slept really well until 9am the next morning in the camper. On Sunday morning they were a little grumpy cause they diidnt want to go home but thats a sign that they had a really good time. Jordan and Justin went on an evening trail ride Saturday night and saw some really awesome scenery. Next Meet N Greet next summer I think we will definitley camp for the weekend again.
