Snow,Snow, And More Snow Please Go Away

Well again as we thought that spring/summer was finally here it started snowing at 8am this morning and has not stopped since and is still snowing. Justin was outside with a tape measure a little while ago and measured that we had 10 and a half inches fall so far on the ground and we are expected to get another 6-8 inches through the night. I feel like im experiencing my first blizzard. This is the most snow weve had on the ground all winter and its supposed to be gone by now. Just 2 days ago the kids were at the park in shorts and sandals and it was 61 degrees outside. The ice cream truck even started coming around and of course we put all our outside lawn chairs and kids toys out and packed away the snowboots and snowsuits thinking winter was over finally. Daniel was supposed to go to his end of the school year spring carnival tomorrow at his school but it doesnt look like thats going to happen the car is halfway burried in the snow. hopefully they postpone it for a different weekend cause we arent leaving the house this weekend. Well here are some pics of 2 days ago at the park and then today. Only in Alaska would something like this happen.

Finally starting an exercise program

I have finally began an exercise program where im going with my friends 3 times a week to the gym. The kids go with me cause our gym is in our community center and the kids can play in the kid area while us mom's exercise. So the kids have been enjoying it as well cause it gets them out of the house too. Also with the summer months approaching us we can be outside alot more and go on walks and stuff. I put on my old rollarblades yesterday just to see if I could still blade and I made it around the block without falling. I was impressed with myself. Justin is talking about getting a bike and one of those trailers for the kids to sit in while he rides in back of the bike and then I can rollarblade beside them and it would be great exercise and family time. I remember living on south beach when I rollarbladed everywhere I went and how skinny I was so I know if I started rollarblading again it would probably get me in really good shape. The kids were also able to go to their park today and were very excited that their was no snow at the park. They call it their park cause the park is right across the street from our house. It is also starting to stay light pretty late. It now gets dark around 9pm but as it gets more into the summer, it will rarely get dark at all. The problem with that is now when I tell Daniel at 8pm its bedtime he replies to me saying but mommy the sun is still at and of course the sun comes up now at like 6am and the kids have been getting up around 630am saying the suns up its morning time. We are going to fix that problem though this weekend by putting blankets over their windows so they go to bed ontime and sleep later. Well here are some pics of the kids excited to be at the park again.

Passover

We have been celebrating passover the last few days. We didnt have a sedar cause the kids are still a little too young to understand but we might try to have a small seder next year when they are little older. We do have 2 books about the holiday we read to them and they did have fun finding the afrikimon and getting their presents of course. Daniel and hailey both love matzos and want to know why we only eat it this time of year. If I always had it in the house i think they would always eat it. Justin had the weekend off and it was very nice actually having him home for a weekend. next week he starts new days off which are going to be a little better and give us some more family time. He will have thursday, friday, and saturdays so at least part of a weekend. Him having 3 days off during the week and working every weekend is pretty crappy so we are looking forward to his new days off. Justin and I actually got to go out to dinner and have a date night the two of us with no kids last night. It was very nice. we went to our favorite chinesse restaurant up here and then the two of us went ice skating while our friends were watching the kids. It was a very nice evening.

Spring is Finally Here.... We hope

Well I believe after almost 7 long months of winter and snow and cold temperatures spring is finally here for us. We have thought this about 3 times now cause everything starts melting and then it snows again but hopefully this time it is real. The kids have been enjoying being able to play outside again. They love jumping on the trampoline and swinging on their swings in the backyard. They also love drawing with sidewalk chalk and playing with moonsand which I prefer outside rather then inside. Even Zack is alot happier cause all his bones and toys are beginning to show up after being buried in the snow for the past 6 months and all his doggie friends in the neighborhood are starting to come out to play. Daniel is looking forward to being able to ride his bike that he got last summer for his birthday outside with his friends in the neighborhood and sissy has a tricycle that she can ride as well. She will be getting a big bike like her brothers very soon that she has no idea about yet, and then we hope to teach them how to ride together so they both become pros at it by the end of the summer. Justin is trying to get his landcruiser running well so we can start taking some family wheeling and camping trips this summer and he has been spending most of his free time and days off trying to fix whatever is wrong with it which he hasnt discovered the problem as of yet but hopefully maybe by the end of this weekend it will be fixed. I am trying to finish my school certificate program I am taking so I can enjoy the outside nice summer weather we have also. I only have a few chapters left and then hopefully ill be taking my final by the beginning of next month. I know we have a very busy summer scheduled and definitly can't wait for it to begin. Hailey will finish up her gymnastics the end of next month and daniels last day of school is may 21st and hopefully ill be done by then as well and we can all really enjoy the few months of summer we have. Okay enough rambling for tonight. We want to wish everyone that celebrates a very happy passover and ill post another blog with pics from passover next week sometime. Talk to everyone soon. Storm's Birthday

Well our cat storm turned 7 today. We celebrated his birthday by both kids singing happy birthday to him and giving him cat treats and presents. The kids ate elmo and cookie monster cupcakes in honor of his birthday. He was actually pretty lovable today and rubbing up aganist and playing with the kids more then usual. Now he is all worn out from playing with his new catnip toys and sound asleep on our bed as usual.

Hailey at gymnastics class

Hailey started back up with her gymnastics classes today. She was very anxious to go back and now she goes for the next 8 weeks until summer break. She is one of the most advanced in her class but all her friends are in this class so we are keeping her in it one more session. When this session is over and she starts back again in september she will be in the next level of classes. Hailey loves her teacher and was also really happy to see miss kennedy again too. Here are some pictures of our superstar and of course she had to have a new leotard for her new session. It seems every new session she gets a new leotard. Thank goodness for my volunteering at airmans attic cause that is where i found this one.

We thought spring was finally here we thought wrong

Well we thought we had winter break up and everything was nice for a few weeks almost all the snow melted away and the kids were happilly riding their bikes and playing outside for a few days and then last weekend it decided to snow again. we had about 6 inches fall over the weekend and then monday it started melting away again. Well guess what we woke up to this morning again more snow....I am so tired of all this crappy white stuff that keeps falling on the ground. The news says we can have up to 8-12 inches by morning. We just want it all to go away. I guess that's what we get for it waiting to the first week in november to snow this year and having no snow for the fist year ever living in alaska on halloween. we are paying now but winter break-up not coming in april. All I can say is hopefully may will be no snow. okay im done blogging about my frustrations and getting ready to take Hailey to her first gymnastics class for the new session. she will now go every wednesday night until the end of may. Ill post some pics tomorrow from her gymnastics class. She is all excited to go and has been wearing her leotard for the last few hours waiting. Talk to everyone soon. Ps I must brag Daniel made me a beautiful bracelet at school today.

Justin's Off-roading Trip In Fairbanks

Justin went this past weekend with a few friends to Fairbanks where we used to live and went on a weekend wheeling trip. The kids and I stayed home for this trip cause Daniel would have had to miss a day of school and the weather was still pretty cold in Fairbanks. We will go on a family wheeling trip in a few months once we hit the summer months. Justin had a blast and took lots of pictures. His landcruiser survived its first real trial ride. Here are some pics from Justin's trip.

This is a great way to keep in touch with what's going on in the lives of the Williams' Family. With us being so far away it's great to be able to write and post recent pictures of what's going on in our lives. I am blessed to have such a wonderful family. Justin and I have been married for 9 years. Daniel is now 5 years old and Hailey is 3 years. We have Zack the Dog, Storm the Cat, Oscar the Fish, and out latest addition to the family Mr. Beans the dog. Justin is keeping busy working 12 hour shifts at the passenger terminal on base and going to school to complete his small business certificate program. I am currently a stay at home mom taking care of the kids which is definitly a full time job in itself and I spend a great deal of time volunteering at the Airman's Attic on base. Daniel and Hailey both go to pre-school 3 days a week. Hailey is currently in her 3rd year of gymnastics. She was been taking gymnastics since she was 18 months old and Daniel just finished playing basketball on the Lions pee wee league last month. We currently have 17 months left in Alaska and then we dont know where we are going to be moving after that. Justin spends his free time working on his Landcruiser and offroading. I spend my free time scrapbooking and keeping up with our blog, watching movies, and keeping up with the kids and all their activites. Daniel loves dinosaurs, superheros (batman, the hulk, superman, and spiderman his favorites, and doing arts and crafts. Hailey loves horses and ponies, barbies, princesses, playing dress up, and recently Hannah Montana. Keep checking back to our page for the newest happenings going on in out lives.
