Tonight was the third night of Hanukkah and the kids opened from Grandpa and Grandma some more acessories for Mr Squiggles and Pipsqueak their zhu zhu pets. Daniel got an adventure ball and a bed and blanket for his hamster and Hailey got a hamster wheel to add to their hamster city and a pink bed and blanket for her hamster. Then we went to the Egan Center in Downtown Anchorage for the Hanukkah Arts Festival. They had a lighting of a giant Menorah which was made out of ice. They even finished sculpturing it right in front of everyone. The kids got to eat some potato latkes and cotton candy, and they watched a play performed by the pre-school children called Sammy the Spiders First Hanukkah which they were very intentive in listening to. They also had a bounce house for them to jump in and a human hamster whell which Hailey was scared to try but Daniel had a blast doing it. They made Hanukkah dreidal necklaces made out od sand art and their was a huge Dreidal pinanta filled with candy but We didint stay till the end to watch it get broken. It wasnt over till 8pm and they werent doing it till 745pm and the kids had to get home and get to bed for school in the morning. We left around 7pm. The kids are having a great Hanukkah and are excited to see what is in store for them for the next five nights.
